Baking is a method of food preparation that uses dry heat, usually in an oven, but it can also be done in hot ashes or on hot stones. Bread is the most commonly baked item, but many other foods can also be baked. Heat is gradually transferred "from the surface of cakes, cookies, and bread slices to their centers."

Base on my research, In 2014, the world's oldest oven dating back 6500 years was discovered in Croatia. The Ancient Egyptians used yeast to bake bread, which they had previously used to brew beer. Around 600 BC, bread baking began in Ancient Greece, leading to the invention of enclosed ovens.

Baking is necessary for the production of bread, cakes, pastries, custards, casseroles, and a variety of other commonly consumed foods. It is also an important part of our culture and a great way to supplement our diet.

To put it simply, baking is the process of fully cooking food in an oven. Almost anything can be baked, including bread, desserts, fish, poultry, meat, and vegetables. However, when people say they are bakers or like to bake, they are usually referring to desserts or bread.🍰
